Haley Schlaick #7

Broccoli.  It came from two living/biotic cells.

Haley Schlaick #8

I learned how a plant grows and what it looks like in its stages.  The thing that surprised me was that it was so big and thats what brocolli looks like. I didnt really laugh becuase growning a plant really isnt all that funny. What made me pause and think a little deeper is the fact that broccoli is so big.

More cells are formed in mitosis so the plant needs to get bigger.  The cells split apart from photosynthesis. The nucleic acid helps the plant grow because its in the nucleus and it makes more cells and when there are new cells the plant starts to grow and with photosynthesis the plant also turns green and thats how a plant grows.

The plant got bigger. It looks about 7 inches and its green with quite big leaves for its size. They use water to stay hydrated and when they drink water they stay green. The plants obsorb water through there roots which makes them grow bigger.  They go through photosynthesis and they take in the carbon. They take in carbon  and cellular resperation. They obsorb nitrogen through the ground through assimilation.

Zach Walker blogpost #7

Broccoli is our plant the main source of growth is the watering of the plant. Due to all of the rain we have been getting, The plant has grown to be at least 3 feet high, my prediction is that it will not grow any higher and will stay the same, and over time the plant will produce the broccoli that we are expecting, The parent plants have a huge impact too, There are also a lot of holes in the leaf due to bugs and insects bitting on the leaf.

For my final blog post I am interviewing Joe, In my SOTS group, The first question  I asked joe was, What have you learned? He responded "I have learned a lot of things but the number one thing is that plants have to compete for the provided space given to them to grow" The second question I asked him was What surprised or amazed you? He responded "The fact that our plant had holes in the leaves and that other insects were feeding on our plant" The final question is, What made you stop and think for a while, He responded "I thought for a second how deep the roots could dig down into the soil for the plant to grow"

Joey Costantino interview blog post #8

Joey has learned that it takes a long time for the plant to grow just like a human growing it dos not happen over night. How big the plant has grown over time. Joey has laughed over nothing because science is very serious and no laughter will be tolerated. Joey paused and thought a little but deeper about other plants growing more because they have more sun light. He thought long and hard.

we are experimenting with broccoli. The plant is at least 2 feet high now and is still growing. Our plant is very big and it looks like the parents were pretty big plants. The parents can't take all of the credit though. There was a reflection which made the pliant grow almost twice as fast. the offspring of this plant will be huge.

Blog post assignment #6 Zach Walker

My plant is growing very fast mainly because the reflection off the sun and the water hydrating the plant. and very importantly water moving through the roots of the plants giving it nutrients and vitamins provided by the sun and light which is a very important factor to keeping the plant alive. Since enzymes are proteins they send water and protein molecules to the nucleus causing it to expand which causes a chain reaction which causes the rest of the plant to grow
