Zach's Blog post assignment #4

#1 Abiotic factors that my plant depends on to survive is the soil. Despite the many living things within the soil such as, Bugs, Bacteria, spiders and other insects.

#2 A big factor that plants compete for is the space of which they can grow bigger and bigger. Most importantly they are competing for sunlight for growth. The more sunlight the more nutrients your plant will get and the better result of growth.  They also compete for minerals in the soil to expand thier roots. They compete against other living organisms around it.

#3 Winners and loser in this situation are determined by which plant grows more and is bigger and has more biomass. But it is always not this simple because it is not always clear who wins and who loses both plants could have success.

#4 A way plant interact other than competing is they interact with carbon and nitrogen to go through photothinsisis. My plant is involved in sucking in water and using it for growth.

#5 It is secondary sucession because the ground and soil which the plant was planted was already firtle and had already been used for other crops and plants.
