The plants are still living because they have green leaves and they are big. The cute little plant is alive because its green. The plant is green because it has chlorophyll and chlorophyll is used in photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the plants way of getting energy so it can survive. If it produces energy to survive it must be alive. And if it's alive it will grow and that's why the leaves are big and green.
