Haley Schlaick #4

The plant uses abiotic factors like the dirt, water, and sun. Some biotic factors that affect the plant are people and bugs. The plant uses the nutrients that can be found in the soil and if there are no nutrients the plant will die. The plant uses water to get hydrated and if it doesn't it will turn brown and die. The plant uses the sun to use photosynthesis to make energy and if it doesn't have sunlight it will die. The people eat the plants, and they step on them which is bad for the plant. The bugs eat the plants and some of them pollinate them.
Their competition is with other plants. We can see this because some plants are bigger than others. They are competing for water we can see this because they change colors from green to brown. The winners are bigger and more green. The losers are brown and ugly. Yes. It can be hard to tell because they don't always turn green. Parasitism because humans eat the plants and the plants don't benefit. Mutualism because lady bugs eat the afid's off the plants. There is primary succession because there is no dirt or plants.
